filmography
6.10.2008
I've always been fond of watching movies may it be projected on a movie screen, pirated on a dvd or ripped into avi, wmv or mp4. It doesn't really matter.. what's important is that you get to dream, use your imagination, leave your worries, enjoy the experience and hopefully, learn something at the end. So here are some upcoming movies I'll definitely watch out for. You might want to check them out as well.. or perhaps recommend in case you have any company movie night-outs *wink wink* :oP
Opening June 13
The Incredible Hulk
This is not a sequel to HULK. I believe this is a new and improved version of that film. David Banner is now portrayed by Edward Norton and in contrast to the previous film, Hulk will now have a nemesis called The Abomination, whose strength exceeds even The Hulk's own. Hence, this is one fight-'til-the-end I'd like to see.
The Happening
Another showcase from the renowned director M. Night Shyamalan, who also brought us The Sixth Sense, Signs, Unbreakable and Lady in the Water. Based on his previous works, I think this movie would also have its twists and turns.. something to keep you on the edge of your seat.
Opening June 27
Wall E
Might be pronounced as "Wally".. then again, I am not sure *hehe* Anyway, this reminds me of the movie I used to watch when I was a kid. It was entitled "Short Circuit" (part 1 and part 2). They both look a like but Johnny-5 looks much taller than Wall-E.. and he was definitely a real robot unlike our new friend here who is an animation. I loved the old film so hopefully I'd love this one too.
Wanted
I just love Angelina Jolie in action. 'Nuf said. :oP
Opening July 2
Hancock
I still have the I-am-Legend hangover so I'd like to see Will Smith in another action film.. However, I really like his funny-side so a combination of both (just like in Men In Black) makes it a definite must-see for me.
Opening July 11
Hellboy II: The Golden Army
The red, cigar-smoking demon with the massive right hand is at it again. This time, he and his gang tries to save everyone from the Prince of Elves --who apparently (and I quote) makes (my) Legolas look like Tinkerbell. Hmm.. interesting. I wonder if he's as good-looking *wahaha* Teka, elf ba si Tinkerbell ???
Journey to the Center of the Earth
According to sources, this is the first (ever) narrative live-action film to be shot in digital 3D. Lucky you Mr. Brendan Fraser.. And so, if you want to witness moviemaking history (and adore "George of the Jungle" once again), I suggest you put this motion picture on top of your list.
Opening July 18
The Dark Knight
Hunky actor Christian Bale returns as the Caped Crusader to face off against his arch nemesis --the Joker, played by the dashing (not-to-be-forgotten actor) Heath Ledger. This is the young actor's last film so you might not want to miss his extraordinary performance.
Opening July 25
The X-Files: I Want to Believe
I want to believe that this would be a great suspense-thriller just like the old times when it was still on TV.
Opening Aug 01
The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor
Finally, the much-awaited follow-up is here *woohoo!* I have a weakness for this movie.. I am not sure why but I really fancy the action, comedy and adventure all mixed in this motion picture. Added bonus pa yung great effects and story. Sa first installment pa lang I was hooked na kaya itong part 3 papanuorin ko talaga. Too bad nga lang bcoz I prefer Rachel Weisz as Evelyn.
Well, that ends my list.. 'till next time guys..
See you at the movies .^____^.
